About Paštrovići
Heritage
For centuries, the Paštrovići region has shaped a way of life carved from stone, sustained by the sea and the olive tree.
Its villages, chapels and terraced groves speak of a community rooted in land and tradition long before Montenegro became a destination on any map. Stonemasons here worked with what the hills offered, building homes, churches and boundary walls that have stood for generations — coursed by hand, without mortar in the oldest of them, entirely without pretension.
Culture
Olive cultivation here is not an aesthetic choice — it is an inheritance, passed between generations along with the land itself. Meals are still built around what the season offers. Evenings are still spent outdoors for as long as the weather allows. None of this was designed for visitors; it simply continued, largely undisturbed, while the coastline around it changed.
Authenticity
Paštrovići Stone Retreat is built from that same language — local stone, quiet craftsmanship, and a respect for the landscape it stands upon. It could not exist anywhere else. The villa does not attempt to improve on the region; it simply gives guests a private, comfortable way to be inside it — close enough to Sveti Stefan and Budva for an evening, distant enough to hear only the sea and the trees.
More than a villa, Paštrovići Stone Retreat offers a way to experience Montenegro through privacy, authenticity and a kind of luxury that doesn't announce itself.
